The King of Controversy!!!

Oh yes, sooner or later it was bound to happen.  Sooooo check it out on ALL my blogs, yes for the first time ever this will appear on every single blog I got. 

Okay okay okay, everyone remembers the picture I took with me and jesus?  no?  well check it out it's on my photos on myspace, obviously the internet is more public than I thought and people have so much time on their hands that they search for me.  So yes, Mr Gilbert Jose decided to print that picture out to show it to the priest.  Now the priest seemed to have gotten a good chuckle out of it, and it doesn't really bother me much I mean come on people, it's just a picture.  It's not like it's vulgar or profane you know.

And that didn't bother me much, but what does bother me is that I'm being scrutinized so closely and I don't know why.  I mean is it so hard to see someone like me getting ahead in the church?  I mean honestly, did you google me?  Or just search for me on myspace?  You're an older guy, we are not friends, merely acquaintances and yeah...we don't get along, so why are you looking for me?  Odds are you're reading this now.  Are you going to print this and show it to Father Sebastian?  I do have my freedom of speech and my good judgment says I'm not saying anything bad here.  I could say a lot more just so that you can get a good juicy blog to print up and try to tarnish my name.  BTW, you didn't tarnish my name on this so come on now, grow up.

Oh yes, the other thing that bothers me.  Come on man, you knew I was at the church.  I'm not hard to find, I'm either in the CCD office or in my classroom.  Soooo you call a member of my staff to tell him that the picture I took wasn't cool.  What?  You couldn't confront me about this?  This reminds me of a few years ago when I had a little disagreement with a group called the Knights of Columbus.  It was on confirmation mass night, and come on, I just made statements that I probably should've kept to myself about people stealing the attention away from my students for their own personal glorification.  Well apparently one or two members went all over the place looking for me that night when I wasn't hard to find, just in my classroom having dinner with the confirmation staff.  I don't hide from anyone so come on now.

So I guess I am so controversial and all that the older generation once again has a problem with me and I say I'm not the problem...THEY ARE!!!  Why are you so uptight and just hating on me for no reason?  What do you have to gain from trying to take me down?  But I know it's not me that you're after, you're after everyone young in the parish.  I mean, I don't consider myself that young but I am from a different generation and I do represent the younger groups a lot.  THe younger generation doesn't like the older people because they constantly judge and tell them no.  I am the daywalker who bridges the two myself.  The older generation realizes they need me because I am somehow very influential with certain people, and they'll come to me with any problems they have with the youth.  In turn, I won't do anything because I have never found their worries to be grounded in anything other than age prejudice.  So this is a plea to everyone out to get me.  Please I beg you, keep it up!  Wow.. surprised to hear that huh?  Well I can see consistantly throughout history, when someone is blackballed like people are attempting to do to me, that normally means they are on the verge of greatness or doing great things.  So the more I'm attacked, the closer I know I'll be to living up to my potential.  Hell, if I'm assassinated, that means I'm freaking awesome right?  So keep it up, but realize, I will be allowed to defend myself.  And if I'm not allowed to publicly give my side, I will MAKE myself heard. 

I would honestly like to hear people's opinions, so comment or message me, I want to know is that picture that bad?  I mean come on now, it's a picture with me next to the statue of Jesus at my church.  Is it that profane that I should be censored?  Is it that controversial?  Becuase just thing, if I wanted to be controversial....I'll do it....

What to do with Newt Gingrich

Okay it’s Thursday and I have to start this off reminding you if you haven’t already, read my last blog, “My Response to USA Today” because not only is it me bitching, but it’s also my 100^th blog on myspace!!!

First, the news that almost made me fall out of my chair laughing, Newt Gingrich admitted today that WHILE he was putting down Clinton for the Monica Lewinsky scandal, he was having an affair on his own wife.  So much for preaching about family values and saying men in power should be faithful to their wives.  But does he apologize to Clinton?  Of course not, that would show integrity that Gingrich clearly doesn’t have.

The USA Today article is still bothering me.  It’s not so much that it’s about Hawaii, it’s just that the author makes such tremendous generalizations without providing much evidence for his claims.  I could say that haoles can’t accept that there are some things in this world that they can’t have or get, and I would probably be correct in saying it.  Why is it that they complain if someone makes a joke about another race, yet they look the other way when they kill because of the color of someone’s skin?  That’s one thing I’ll never understand about the “majority”.

I watched that show “Are you smarter than a 5^th grader” and I have to comment on that.  Come on, I bet 95% of 5^th graders in Hawaii can’t answer most of these questions.  I’d wager that most of the fifth graders in the schools I’ve worked with in Oregon can’t answer these questions as well.  And to have Jeff Foxworthy host. . . well that just shows the intelligence level of this show, what’s next?  Larry the Cable Guy guest hosting jeopardy?

My grandpa’s still in ICU but he’s getting better according to the doctors, they might put him in a regular room early next week so I’m hopeful for that.  If anyone’s bored this weekend, once again I’m completely free and bored so let me know and we’ll plan something, just remember, I have a ton of liquor in my house hahaha.

Lastly for tonight, I don’t get what the big deal about Borat was.  I got the DVD, and I watched it.  I wasn’t impressed.  They were making it out to be an amazing comedy, but it really wasn’t that good.  I guess I just had too high expectations for it.  I remember when I saw There’s Something About Mary, I had no expectations for that movie and I laughed so hard throughout the whole thing.  Same with Wedding Crashers, but Borat. . . just didn’t do it for me.

My Response to USA Today

I love how USA Today took just a couple small incidents and from that was able to generalize how life in Hawaii is.  I wish I could take two incidents about living in Oregon during college and use that to stereotype Oregon as a state and Oregonians as a people.  But, I wouldn’t do that, such a thing would be classified by you as racist and I don’t want to appear as such. 

First, you should do a little research, maybe come down here and see how military people act.  Now don’t get all offended, I have many friends in the military and I know not all are like that.  But in bars, they think they’re owed stuff from us.  They went to Iraq and therefore they can go to the front of the line everywhere and treat Hawaiians as second class citizens in our own homeland.  I respect military people for the sacrifices they make, but if my people can’t get privileged I believe we’ve earned, why should they get anything in our land, not theirs.

On the matter of that attorney suing Kamehameha Schools.  Yes, he should leave Hawaii.  He talks about Hawaiians being good people and all, but come on now.  Why do you have to generalize us like that?  We’re not all the same you know.  I wouldn’t call all haoles racists like I’m starting to feel your journalist is being to us.  If this man respects the Hawaiian culture like he says he does, why then attack one of the only institutions in Hawaiians are able to call their own?  Do you know that the USA made it difficult for Hawaiians to get educated to begin with?  The USA tried to destroy our culture and we’ve had to struggle to get the little of it we have now.  Imagine how much of it was lost because of the ignorance of America.  So attorney, why do you want to live in a land where you’re trying to steal something from people who need it.  The education Kamehameha provides is of vital importance to the Hawaiian community.  My family couldn’t have afforded to send me to Punahou or Iolani.  Kamehameha gave me opportunities that honestly, Waianae High and Nanakuli High couldn’t have given me.  For over 100 years Kamehameha has given opportunities to Hawaiian children and how DARE you try to take that away from them. 

Why is it just Kamehameha being attacked though?  What about single sex schools?  Why are they allowed to exist?  They discriminate against the other sex.  What about that school in New York that was opened to serve gay students.  That’s a public school and it discriminates against straight children.  What about native American schools?  What about all black schools?  What about all white schools?  You know people in the South have petitioned the US Supreme Court once again to allow “separate but equal”.  Why is that okay but a school for Hawaiians isn’t?

USA Today, you should be ashamed of the article you wrote about my home state.  I wish you would allow me to write a rebuttal about it, but I guess to you I’m an uneducated Hawaiian.  I only went to a prestigious college and chose to return to a homeless area to teach.  So I can’t be that smart.  Why is it, that you can’t look beyond the color of skin to see that historically, Hawaiians have been hurt by America.  By no means am I saying Hawaii should be independent, but we do deserve at least our school being allowed to remain Hawaiian preference.  I take great issue with the journalist who wrote this article because I don’t think you’ve studied the situation enough to make the judgments you make.  You won’t read this since I can’t get it published in a major national newspaper.  But I think you should be sued for libel and I think you should be fired for giving such a horribly misleading representation about how Hawaii is and how Hawaiians are. 

Have a heart? Send it to Cheney, he needs it more than you

First of all, let’s have a moment of silence for one of the greatest writers in America, one of my idols and someone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, Molly Ivins who died yesterday of breast cancer at the age of 62.

Okay, that being said, she would’ve wanted me to raise hell like she did so here we go.  Welcome to the xanga edition of my blog that no one reads, since everyone reads the myspace edition. . . .oh well it doesn't kill me to post it here too.

Governor Lingle you’re on my shit list again.  Looks like the good governor wants to have a toll booth to alleviate traffic . . . riiiiiight, I wasn’t aware that a toll booth makes traffic go faster, I always thought it slowed it down a lot.  But I guess that’s the kinda ideas we can expect from the queen wookie.

There’s some lady here suing Dog the Bounty Hunter because apparently his brother broke her back during a bounty when they entered her house and found a fugitive.  Now this comes down to basically this, you’re hiding someone who should be in prison, the bounty hunters come, you figure the guy is hiding in a good enough spot so you let them into your house to search, one finds him and the rest rush to him because he could be armed and dangerous.  So, you hide the guy, then you get in the way when they’re trying to apprehend him . . .and now you sue because your back was broken.  One, I’ve broken my back, it takes some doing to break and you said they just pushed you and it broke. . . I don’t really believe that unless you have some sorta bone disorder.  Two, you’re fucking hiding a fugitive, I think the government should be harder on those who choose to hide people like that.  And three, if Dog wasn’t a multimillionaire, would you have sued him?  It took you quite a while to file this suit, what took so long?  Maybe because he’s in deep shit with the mexico thing and everyone is against him right now?  You’re just a gold digger aren’t you?

Happy Birthday to Dick Cheney!!!  Yes our VP has reached another year in age and he asks that you send him gifts of fresh hearts because he keeps needing new ones.

Harry Potter 7 comes out in July!  And Daniel Radcliffe is in some trouble for being in that play where he’ll have a nude scene.  Apparently it’s not cool for Harry Potter to be naked.  Umm people, he’s just an actor, if he chooses a role like this, it doesn’t take away from another role he’s done.  No one would know he was doing this role if you guys didn’t make such a big deal out of it.

HECO seems to think it’s smart to shut down three generators for maintenance all at the same time during peak hours. . . so tonight on the news they say that there may be rolling blackouts because of this even though it’s just routine maintenance.  Joe Moore on the news seemed like he was trying not to laugh when he said, why are all three being serviced at the same time?  Not that smart huh?  Yes, I must say Joe, you did your job well because I sure as hell would’ve asked that question because I think it’s stupid to service multiple generators at the same time.

Mayor Hanneman, you’re still a dumbass, I don’t’ know why this week, but I feel safe in making that statement because you never cease to amaze me with your stupidity.

The homeless shelter tent thingie is going to open in Waianae very soon.  I still find it so comforting that we decide to put it right next to the intermediate school, right across from the library and gym and down the road from an elementary school and high school.  We did this after the study came out that said where ever homeless shelters are there’s an increase in drug use, so yeah let’s be smart and bring that right by schools.  No, let’s do better and put it where hundreds of kids pass by every single day!  If they haven’t already experimented with drugs, nah, that temptation would give them reason to right?

January 24, 2007 yup it’s Thursday again so here we go.

State of the Union was this week. . . seemed more like it was a state of Iraq address instead of state of the US.  Can we just cut all that stupid clapping out of this?  People are bitching when people don’t clap, clapping takes forever and takes a lot out of the speech as well because it just creates a constant interruption for the address.  But then again, it gives Bush the time to read over what he’s supposed to say next because he can’t read that well when giving a speech.

Reid. . . ok you belittle my grudges haha, but I love you bro and you’re one of the only people in the world who can say what you say and I won’t do anything except throw you in a shower with all your clothes on. . . again.

Rep. Foley is in the news again, this time they’re saying that the FBI read through his emails prior to this coming to public eye and saying that while they were sexual and gross in my opinion, they were legal and didn’t cause any alarm because the 16 year old boy was old enough to consent to sexual relations in Washington DC.  Yeah he may be old enough to consent to it but. . . isn’t it just gross that you know, someone who has been pushing to end online child predators. . . is an online child predator.  Foley should just burn in hell, let’s stop making excuses for the bastard.

There seems to be a lot of people throwing their names into the 2008 presidential election, my pick is still Obama.  He’d be the perfect candidate if he didn’t go to a shitty school like Punahou.  But at least he doesn’t sound like a whiney bitch like Michelle Wie, and you know. . . at least he does his chosen profession well.  Yeah, he wins every now and then. . . elections that is, but I guess he wins golf games every now and then too haha.

Why is it so fucking hard to find a brown belt in a martial arts supply store?  You’d figure they’d have them, yes they do, not in the size I want, nor the size below or above.  But then they tell me it’ll take 2-3 months to get the belt in stock. . . I need it by next week. . . this is going to be bad, I’ve been in charge of HSD for three days and I already can’t deliver on something.  Hopefully some mainland store has rush delivery, come on I’m hoping one of you does this.  Secondly, anyone know anyone who can make custom black belts?  I need a little something nice for myself.
